Reluctant sale of my Astra vxr 2.0ltr turbo due to unforeseen financial changes. I only bought this car a month ago with the view to having as a toy along with a Mini Cooper for my other half unfortunately mine has to go.

This is a lovely example of these cars and will be a future classic before you know it getting hard to find real good ones already and I travelled near on 100 Miless to pick this up. It has had full remap done through the sport button which once pressed all hell breaks loose and the car becomes a lot more responsive and handles totally different even at my age (43) I find it extremely hard not pushing the sport mode as it puts a big smile on your face and totally transforms the whole car...

I was told its running around 275/285bhp but have no proof of this... But its effing quick and Ive owned Rs turbos cosworths gtis and a Subaru in the past and its not for the faint hearted... Im always wary of the rolling roads etc as they hammer the cars to get the results and I find if it feels fast then be happy. I have part service history with the car and few old receipts for services and all mots from new.

I have a full hpi certificate guaranteed upto 10k showing not stolen damaged written off or financed etc full clear report which again is peace of mind. The car benefits from the following. Front mounted mtc intercooler and hard pipes. Top hat cross over delete and remap no engine management lights on!!

Full 2.75inch custom decat exhaust (pops bangs and burbles nicely). Large air filter with red pipes. New oil and oil filter. Onboard computer (temps, range, mpg , speed etc). Cd radio player with edge subwoofer and amp in boot (nice and loud and deep). Power steering, electric windows and mirrors all working as they should. Tinted windows all round with black sun strip on windscreen. Half leather recaro seats all in superb condition (no rips or tears or major sagging). Factory alarm immobiliser central locking with remote key (key start). Gloss black side door strips, rear spoiler lower and upper (lower has custom fins see photos) and black painted roof rack strips. 18 inch black alloys red painted Vauxhall inserts.

4 new tyres 225/40/18 on front 235/40/18 on rear. Grooved and drilled discs front and rear with red painted callipers (could do with re paint). Spare space saver wheel and jack kit and holder in boot (bought as lot dont come with them nowadays). AFC fully automatic lights newly cleaned and fully working (turn when cornering fast etc) nice bright white light. Clear side repeaters and rear bright reg plate light (comes on when car opened).

No service or warning lights on everything works as it should. No leaking rocker cover or blue smoke (common fault on these the stem seals fail).

So stem seals are good and no nasty knocking or banging. Boosts really well and pulls like a train in sport mode. Have noticed a slight exhaust leak on start up which fades when all is warmed up and Im told again common fault needs turbo manifold gasket and stud replacement to fix and I can see no manifold crack which again is common on these cars.

All in all a great car body work is in beautiful red with only minor stone chips etc being 12 yr old its in remarkable condition there is a car park scuff on rear bumper see pic which would be and easy repair but hasnt bothered me Im just a perfectionist and had all intentions of having it sorted and change few things but funds dont allow it now. These are great cars if looked after (can be expensive if not serviced regularly etc) like all turbos change the oil filters coolants etc and theyll go for over 200k nowadays engines are built to last. This one has 106k on the clock. 6 gears all smooth no crunching or knocks from the m32 box which is great (I had planned to change to Miller oil at some point to keep it sweet). If your looking for a genuine straight vxr this is the one runs great sounds amazing looks great a real head turner.
